Super quick and easy, these cranberry hand pies are the perfect way to use up leftover cranberry sauce from your Christmas and Thanksgiving dinner. You can use store-bought or homemade!
Roll the dough out and cut it into desired shapes with a biscuit or cookie cutter.
Spoon approximately 1 tablespoon of cranberry sauce onto half of the pastry rounds.
Top with the remaining pastry rounds and crimp the edges with a fork. Cut a small slit or poke some holes in the top of each pie.
Place the pies on a prepared baking sheet and brush the tops with egg wash.
Bake for 25 minutes, or until golden brown. Then allow them to cool for a few minutes before topping with icing drizzle.
Enjoy these hand pies hot or cold. They will keep for about 5 days in an airtight container and make the perfect addition to the lunch box.
