Sugared cranberries are easy to make requiring only 2 ingredients. This recipe makes 3 cups of beautiful, tart, sweet berries.
These fresh tart cranberries, coated in sweet sugar, are surprisingly delicious. Sometimes called candied or frosted cranberries, they have a burst of flavour and can be eaten as is, just like candy, or can be used to add a pop of colour to many holiday recipes.

Make a simple syrup with a one to one ratio of sugar and water. Heat the water to dissolve the sugar. Add the berries to coat, then remove with a slotted spoon.
Let the berries dry on a baking sheet until they are sticky, then move the berries to a bowl and add the sugar. Toss to coat.
Move the sugared cranberries to a parchment-lined baking sheet. Allow them to dry for about 30 minutes before moving to an airtight container for storage.
