Hot Chocolate Poke Cake

This tasty chocolate cake is filled with creamy marshmallow fluff and finished with a fluffy chocoalate whipped topping and mini-marshmallows. One cake will serve 12-16 people making it perfect for large gatherings.

Hot chocolate poke cake has all the flavors of the popular hot winter beverage in a decadent, tasty dessert. Made with simple ingredients, this chocolate cake comes together easily and is perfect for the holidays.

Bake the cake according to box directions and allow it to cool.  Then poke holes over the top of the cake with the end of a wooden spoon. 

Melt the marshmallow fluff then pour it over the cake, being sure to fill the holes.

In a large bowl, whip the cream with the powdered sugar and hot chocolate mix until light and fluffy, then spread it over the cake. Top with mini-marshmallows.

Let the cake chill for one hour before slicing and serving.

Finish with a drizzle of chocolate or caramel sauce, or shaved chocolate for an extra decadent dessert.
