Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup salted butter softened
  • 3 tbsp finely chopped chives
  • 1 clove garlic pressed or finely minced
  • 1/4 tsp kosher salt

Instructions

  • Add the softened butter, pressed garlic, chopped chives, and kosher salt to a small bowl.
  • Mix and mash the butter using a fork until the ingredients are well blended.
  • Place a square of plastic wrap on the counter and scoop the butter into the center of it forming a rough log shape.
  • Fold the plastic wrap over the butter, then roll the butter into a log and twist the ends to seal.
  • Place the butter in the fridge for an hour to firm up. When you are ready to serve, unwrap the butter and slice as desired.

Notes

If you don't need slices of butter, you can scoop the butter into a small mason jar for storage and serving.
Prepared butter will keep for about 2 weeks in the refrigerator.
