Matcha white chocolate cookies have a light green tea flavour and are dotted with white chocolate. They are like a matcha latte in a chewy cookie.

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Salted butter softened
  • 1 1/2 Cup Sugar
  • 2 Large eggs
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 2 3/4 Cup Flour all purpose
  • 1 tsp Baking soda
  • 2 tsp Cream of tartar
  • 1 Tbsp Matcha powder
  • 1/2 Cup White chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees
  • In a large bowl, cream the butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla until fluffy

  • Add the flour, baking soda, cream of tartar and matcha powder and mix until well combined
  • Stir in the chocolate chips

  • Mix 2 tbsp of sugar and 1/4 tsp of matcha powder in a small bowl
  • Form the dough into 2 inch balls and roll in the sugar mixture
  • Place cookie balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper leaving a couple inches between them

  • Bake for 10-12 minutes until cookies are slightly set. They will still feel soft

  • Allow to cool for 5 minutes then move to a cooling rack
