This sour cream and chive dip, made with fresh chives, is creamy, tangy and full of flavour. Better than store-bought, this dip is perfect for serving with a big bowl of chips or fresh garden veggies.
Print Recipe
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup chopped, fresh chives
- 1 clove garlic pressed
- 1 tsp lemon juice fresh
Using a sharp knife, or a pair of kitchen scissors, finely chop the chives.
Place all of the ingredients in a small bowl and stir to combine.
Cover and refrigerate until ready to use. This dip can be enjoyed immediately, but will develop better flavour if allowed to rest for at least one hour.
Full-fat sour cream and mayonnaise are best, but you can use fat-free or light.
This dip will keep for about five days in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
