Small Batch Cinnamon Rolls

This small batch recipe makes 4-6 perfect, fluffy cinnamon rolls, depending on how big you cut them. It is perfect for serving just a couple of people when you don't need a huge batch or want a lot of leftovers.

Ingredients

All purpose flour Yeast Granulated sugar Salt Milk Butter Brown sugar Cinnamon  Cream cheese

Light, fluffy rolls filled with cinnamon and brown sugar and topped with cream cheese frosting. Cinnamon rolls are always a favorite and this recipe makes a perfect, small batch.  Perfect for breakfast or snacks.

Mix the warm milk with the yeast and sugar and let stand for 10 minutes. Then mix the rest of the ingredients to form a shaggy dough.

Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 5 - 10 minutes until smooth. Then place in an oiled bowl, cover and let rise until doubled.

Turn the dough onto a floured surface and roll into a rectangle. Spread with butter, then sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.

Roll the dough into a log, then slice into 4 or 6 rolls, depending on how large you'd like them.

Place the rolls into a lightly greased deep dish pie plate.  Cover and let rise for 20 minutes, then bake.

While the cinnamon rolls are baking, prepare the cream cheese frosting. Remove the rolls from the oven, let cool for a few mintues, then spread with icing.

These delicious, gooey cinnamon rolls make the perfect breakfast treat, especially when served warm with a cup of coffee or tea.
