This festive drink brings a delicious twist to a classic winter treat. The combination of the rum, eggnog, and the deep coffee notes, creates a cocktail that’s ideal for holiday gatherings or cozy nights by the fire.

Ingredients

  • 5 oz eggnog
  • 2 oz espresso cooled
  • 2 oz spiced rum
  • 1 oz Kahlua
  • ice

Optional Sugar Rim

  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  • Fill a cocktail shaker half way with ice.
  • Add the eggnog, cooled espresso, spiced rum, and Kahlua.
  • Place the lid on the shaker and shake until frosty and cold.
  • Pour into 2 martini glasses and serve.

Sugar Rim

  • Combine the brown sugar and cinnamon on a small plate or shallow bowl. Then dip the martini glass's rim in a shallow coffee dish.
    Dip the glass in the brown sugar and cinnamon and twist to ensure it's fully coated.
  • Garnish with cinnamon sticks, fresh nutmeg, orange slices, or sugared cranberries if desired.

Notes

If you don't have espresso, use 2 ounces of strongly brewed coffee instead.
