These turkey burgers with feta cheese and spinach are a quick and easy meal, perfect for busy weeknights. They come together quickly and are ready in less than 30 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound extra lean ground turkey
  • 1 cup loosely packed spinach finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup (2 oz) feta cheese crumbled
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/8 tsp kosher salt or pinch of table salt
  • 1/8 tsp ground black pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 hamburger buns

  • tzatziki sauce
  • sliced tomato
  • sliced cucumber
  • sliced red onion
  • lettuce
  • spinach

Instructions

  • Place the turkey, chopped spinach, crumbled feta, and seasonings in a mixing bowl and stir to combine the ingredients.
  • Form the meat into four equal-sized meatballs, then flatten them into patties.
  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the oil.
  • When the skillet is hot, add the patties and cook for approximately 8 minutes until the bottom is golden brown.
  • Flip and cook for a further 6-8 minutes until both sides are golden brown and the patties are cooked through. They are done when the internal temperature reaches 165°F, as measured with an instant-read thermometer.
  • Remove from the pan and serve on toasted buns with desired toppings.
