Ingredients & Substitutions

For a full list of ingredients and measurements, see the printable recipe card at the bottom of this post.

Refrigerated cinnamon rolls – You will want 1 8-count tube of refrigerated cinnamon rolls.  Pillsbury cinnamon rolls are our favorite, but you can use any brand of canned cinnamon roll you like.  You can use the grand-size rolls instead, but you will want to cut them into more pieces.

Cinnamon Sugar Mixture – After the rolls are baked, you will toss them in a mixture of granulated sugar and cinnamon.  We make our own, but you can use a store-bought mixture.

Cream cheese frosting – We make homemade frosting using cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and cream, but you can use the frosting that comes with the can if you like.  These cinnamon roll bites are also great dipped in butterscotch sauce, strawberry jam, or chocolate sauce.

How to Make Air Fryer Cinnamon Bites

Preheat the air fryer to 330°F for three minutes.

While the air fryer is preheating, cut each roll into 4 equal pieces.

Place a piece of parchment paper at the bottom of the air fryer basket, then add the cinnamon roll pieces, leaving room for them to rise.  In my Cosori air fryer, I cook half a batch at a time.

Do not preheat the air fryer with the parchment paper as it will blow into the element and may catch fire.

Cook the rolls for three minutes at 330°F, then use tongs or a fork to flip the cinnamon rolls and cook for another 2-3 minutes until golden brown.

If your air fryer does not have a setting for 330°F lower temperature to 325°F, the cooking time should not change.

Once the rolls are done, place them in a bowl, sprinkle with the cinnamon-sugar mixture, and toss to coat.

Serving Suggestions

These tasty cinnamon roll bites can be served as finger food with cream cheese frosting dip, caramel or butterscotch sauce, or other dips such as strawberry jam.

They are also delicious served warm with ice cream and fresh berries.

On busy mornings, make a batch for a quick breakfast to serve with Greek yogurt and fresh fruit or alongside a side of air fryer bacon and eggs.

Storing Leftover Cinnamon Rolls

Leftover cinnamon rolls can be stored in an airtight container or ziplock bag at room temperature for 2-3 days.

Top Tips & Tricks

  • If your air fryer does not have a setting for 330°F, adjust your air fryer temperature to 325°F instead. The cook time should remain the same.
  • Never preheat an air fryer with parchment paper in the basket. It may blow into the element and catch fire. Instead, add the parchment paper after the preheat cycle is complete.
