Wing night is a favorite in our house, and these air fried ranch wings are always a nice addition to the platter. They are also perfect for football parties and other get-togethers.
The savory flavor of these wings comes from the powdered ranch mix.
They are not breaded, and instead get their crispy skin from the drizzle of olive oil and a small amount of baking powder, making them perfect for people who eat gluten free.
These flavorful wings take only minutes to prepare and are ready in less than 30 minutes, making them great for nights when you want something quick. While they make a delicious appetizer, they are also excellent served as part of a main meal with a side of Air Fried French Fries, or a simple Baked Potato.
We like to serve them with a dish of ranch dip to add to the creamy ranch flavor. But they are also fun served with a dish of Hot Sauce, making them sort of a reverse hot wing.
Because these wings are not spicy, they are great to balance a wing platter that contains spicier wings such as Air Fried Habanero Hot Wings, and they go well with other chicken wings such as Air Fryer BBQ Wings.
Leftovers will keep well in the refrigerator for about three days. You can eat them cold, but the ranch flavor is definitely more pronounced when these wings are served hot.

Ingredients & Substitutions
For a full list of ingredients and measurements, please see the printable recipe card at the bottom of this post.
Split chicken wings – You will want about one and a half pounds of chicken wings with the wing tips removed. This is about 16 pieces, depending on the size and how many flats for drummettes you have. Our family does a mixture of flats and drumettes because one of us prefers flats and the other prefers drums, but you can do all drumettes or flats. This recipe will also work fine with whole chicken wings if that’s what you have.
Olive Oil – A little bit of olive oil helps the ranch seasoning stick to the wings and aids in crisping them. You can use other oils, such as avocado oil, canola, or vegetable oil, if you prefer
Baking powder – You will not taste the baking powder, but it aids in making the wings crispy. If you don’t have any, you can leave it out, but I don’t recommend substitutions for this ingredient.
Powdered ranch seasoning – You can use Homemade Ranch Seasoning or a store-bought ranch dressing mix for this recipe. Be aware that different brands will have different flavors as well as salt content. You can simply choose your favorite, and if you want to ensure the wings are not overly salty, choose a low-sodium variety.

Storing Leftover Chicken Wings
We recommend that these wings be eaten the same day they are made. But if you have leftovers, they can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator. They should keep for about three days.
Reheating Leftover Ranch Chicken Wings
To reheat, you can pop the wings in the air fryer at 350°F for 5-6 minutes until they are warmed through.
They can also be placed in an oven-safe dish, covered with foil and heated in a 350°F oven for 10-15 minutes.
