These tasty air-fried chicken skewers, made with cubes of chicken breast, and coated in a savory garlic parmesan sauce, are a quick and easy meal.
We like to serve them with a simple Air-Fried Baked Potato or a plate of Ranch Mashed Potatoes drizzled with extra parmesan garlic sauce.
I am always looking for quick meals, especially during the week. But just because I want something quick doesn’t mean I’m willing to sacrifice flavor.
These air-fried chicken kabobs, with a homemade buttery parmesan garlic sauce, tick all the boxes.
Made with just a handful of pantry ingredients, these chicken breast skewers are easy to prepare and cook in about 15 minutes.
You will need some short skewers to fit in the air fryer basket. We like using metal skewers, but you can also use smaller wooden skewers. We use the Cosori 5.8 QT Air Fryer and find that 7-8 inches skewers are the perfect size.
We love to serve this chicken with simple sides, such as baked potatoes or Creamy Mashed Potatoes. You’ll want to save some of the garlic parmesan sauce to drizzle on top. Don’t worry; the recipe makes plenty.
If you want a simpler side, you can’t go wrong with some Air Fried French Fries or a slice of Air Fried Garlic Bread.
These skewers also make excellent appetizers. They are a great alternative to chicken wings, or on a platter alongside them for those who prefer white meat.
Leftovers store well in the fridge for a few days, and they taste great hot or cold.

Ingredients & Substitutions
For a full list of ingredients and measurements, see the printable recipe card at the bottom of this post.
Boneless skinless chicken breast – We use boneless, skinless chicken breast for this recipe as it is easy to work with and cooks quickly. If you prefer dark meat, this recipe will also work with boneless, skinless chicken thighs.
Olive oil – Olive oil helps keep the chicken moist while cooking and helps the seasonings stick. If you don’t have olive oil, any neutral flavor oil can be used. Avocado oil, vegetable oil, and grapeseed oil all work well.
Seasonings – This chicken is seasoned with a blend of salt, onion powder, and garlic powder before it is cooked. You will also need dried parsley flakes for the parmesan garlic sauce. You can use other seasonings if you like, such as an herb and garlic blend, or add other herbs to your liking.
Butter – The base of this sauce is made with butter. It is highly recommended you use real butter for this recipe. You can use either salted or unsalted.
Parmesan cheese – We make this recipe with grated parmesan cheese as it’s fairly inexpensive and can be found in any grocery store. However, you can certainly use freshly shredded parmesan cheese if you have it. If you don’t have parmesan, grated Romano or Asiago would be good alternatives.
Garlic – Fresh garlic will give you the best flavor, but you can use jarred minced garlic, or garlic paste if that’s what you prefer. You can also substitute granulated garlic if you don’t like using fresh.

Storing Leftovers
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about 3 days.
They can be enjoyed hot or cold.
To reheat, pop them in the microwave or air fryer. 3-4 minutes at 350°F should be enough to heat them through.
